PTTC Ghanaian Student Scholarship Program

Pass The Torch Collective is a Non-profit organization formed by a group of young Ghanaian professionals based in Toronto, Canada.
Founded in 2019, the Group’s initial intent was to connect with like minded Ghanaians in Toronto through social activities. After a few gatherings, we recognized that we each hold an interest in helping each other in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and more broadly across the diaspora. We further held a series of meetings to discuss ideas on how we can best develop this interest into something that makes an impact within our communities and beyond. The congregation of those meetings birthed the ‘PTTC Annual Ghanaian Student Scholarship Program’.
Our aim is to provide scholarship and mentorship opportunities to young Ghanaians in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) because we strongly believe in supporting and developing young people in the community, as we have each benefited from such support in our individual lives. With the vision of making an impact as a group on an annual basis, our first ‘Ghanaian Student Scholarship Program’ was launched in 2021. PTTC successfully raised a total of $3,000 within the Group and granted individual scholarships of $1,500 each to two successful applicants within the GTA region.
The purpose of this go-fund me is to raise $3,000 for our annual scholarship program as we plan to grant scholarships of $1,500 each to two successful new applicants by September.
