Founding Pastor Appreciation Gift
We have an opportunity to show our appreciation by participating in a very important project. See below;
In the early 1960's John and Edith Nissley moved to Tallahassee to "plant" a church, Berean Christian Fellowship. In order to minister and support his family, John obtained employment as well as acquired rental property. Their heart was in ministry even though they were not financially supported by the church in those early years. As the church grew in attendance and funds became available the Nissleys accepted part time support from BCF, however during their entire tenure (almost 50 years) of leading the church Pastor John was bi vocational, Edith was a homemaker and also worked part time as a nurse. Even though they were willing to minister without a full time church salary it has left them in a situation that even now during retirement (and John isn't able to work) they are still paying on their home mortgage.
Many people are beneficiaries of their dedication to ministry and serving others, with this in mind a "debt retirement fund" was establish to help the Nissley's pay off their home mortgage. The goal in establishing this fund is to provide a means so that anyone can contribute through the church as they are able and willing to give extra to this worthwhile cause.
It truly would be our privilege and their blessing for us to "assist them" while "paying off" their mortgage, hopefully while they are both still with us.
Funds may be contributed electronically to; "GoFundMe" or checks may be made payable to BCF and mailed to Berean Christian Fellowship 6214 Blountstown Hwy. Tallahassee, Fl. 32310. Include a note stating that your contribution is for "Founding Pastor Appreciation Gift"
