Arts Gowanus Flood Recovery Fund

Please help Arts Gowanus and our artists recover from the catastrophic floods that destroyed over 100 art studios, 1000's of works of art, and costly equipment from yesterday's record-breaking rainfall. The destruction was a result of one of New York's wettest days in decades which swamped the Gowanus neighborhood in Brooklyn with more than 7.25 inches of rain, flooded streets, and brought the transportation system to a halt. Many of the Arts Gowanus artists were just recovering from the devastation caused by Hurricane Ida just two years ago. Sadly, original artwork can never be replaced. However, we ask that you dig deep in your pockets to help Arts Gowanus and our resilient artists replace supplies, equipment and materials which were destroyed in the flood so they can begin to create again.
