Donate to help keep my father home

Three months ago on September 13, my father, Marian Degner was picked up by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-ICE for overstaying his visa.

He has been detained and held at Montgomery Processing Center in Conroe, Texas ever since and is facing a deportation.

This has come as quite a shock to us and it caught us completely off guard.

I have immediately hired an immigration attorney to fight for my father to be able to stay in this country. I have spent thousands of dollars on legal representation, bond hearing and court fees and exhausted all of my financial resources. I am working 2 jobs and have no financial help.

We have been pleading with the judge to release my father on bond so our family can be reunited and he can come back to live with me while having a fair chance to fight his immigration case from the comfort of our home.

My father had been living with me at my home in Groesbeck for a couple of years now and he’s been living in America for over 25 years. He is a good man and loving father and has been a huge support to me. He is well liked and respected and deeply involved in our community serving others any chance he gets. My father has been involved in several ministries including rebuilding neighborhoods in Houston after hurricane Harvey or more recent volunteering efforts like delivering beds and food supplies to needy families. He is a devoted Christian and a member of Life Team, he is a stand up guy with a strong character who is always willing to roll up his sleeves and help others without ever having to be asked.

My father is elderly and is dealing with medical issues and I am trying to get him to return home.

The judge has recently granted us a $ 13,000 cash bond which has to be paid in full before he can be released from detention center.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to raise money for ongoing legal fees and the bond.
