double lung transplant
Hello, my name is Terry Campbell and have been a resident of Newton, North Carolina for the last 17 years. My husband and I moved here from New York with our three children, Ryann, Jamie and Ben.
I have been diagnosed with C.O.P.D., which stands for chronic, obstructive, pulmonary disease. I have been on oxygen 24/7 for the past 7 years. My condition has progressed to end-stage C.O.P.D. As this disease only gets worse, I am now advised from the transplant team that I am nearing the window for the double lung transplant. I have raised the amount needed for the preliminary funding by the generosity of so many friends, that I have no words to express my gratitude.
The transplant related expenses are great and my insurance doesn't cover everything that is needed for pre-surgery and post-surgery. The only way I can proceed with the transplant is to start a fund-raising campaign again to help raise the $10,000 that Duke Medical Center requires to secure my part in the process.
A donation of any size would bring me one breath closer to to reaching my goal. I thank you so very much for your time and thoughtfulness. Please feel free to leave a message of any kind. I would love to hear from you!
