3D PRINTED VISORS FOR THE NHS

Donation protected
Hello everyone,

As you may know, hospitals are struggling with PPE equipment and supplies, a few of us hobbyists in my local area have contacted companies asking for assistance in 3d printing face shields for hospital staff, hospices etc...

Yesterday we started with 5 people helping print these, no we have over 20 people with multiple printers each. We are still growing rapidly.

We're actually currently working with members from IBM to manufacture them on quite a large scale. We are continuing to grow as a community and makers all across the UK have begun using their 3D-printers and skills for good. Companies like Jaguar Land Rover are joining the forces and producing PPE shields too.

Currently, we are ordering material in 3KG bulk quantities. This is enough for around 65 face shields (46 grams per face shield).
This works out at £45 for the whole batch and ends up being around 70p per mask.

We need you to join the effort and potentially be able to help in funding/printing/spreading the word for this?

More information regarding the type of face shield and the medical verifications are in this link: https://www.prusa3d.com/covid19/
