HELP THE TIRE GUY – ITS OUR TIME TO STEP UP
“Kurtious Tire” – Kurt and Tina Smith – The duo has touched many of our lives for many years. That “Bad Day” when the deer antler or nail or thorn was protruding from that flat tire and it’s in the heart of harvest or planting seasons, issues like these were never welcome. We all knew when the Black and Orange truck rolled down the lane that the day or many times night was going to get better. The voice on the other end of the phone was Tina, “Kurt will be there soon” has always been the case. The couple that ventured out on the infamous orange Harley to only get the distress call, turned the bike around and back they came. Tina ran the show as most wives do, and Kurt made sure it got fixed. Unfortunately, an issue has arisen that can’t be fixed, Kurt and Tina have been dealt a devastating blow – Kurt has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer! The initial plan was for Kurt and Tina to take off and see the sights of this great country that they never had the time to do… well once again Kurt has turned the bike around and has made the decision to fight it for all its worth. Stem cell treatments have started which will require an extended stay in the hospital. The two of them will have many long days and Tina no doubt will have a lot of travel time back and forth to the hospital. Expenses will mount quickly.
So, all those you folks in this great farming community, it’s time to step up and return the favor to this wonderful couple.
We all know many times Kurt showed up, did what needed to be done and was gone without notice – that’s the way he operated. Kurt and Tina ask that you respect their privacy during this difficult time.
Dig as deep as you can and let’s show Kurt and Tina our appreciation for the many years of taking care of us.
