Tanya Karam-Adrian was taken too soon. She was only 42.
She leaves behind her children - Jordan, 22, Celeste, 14, Gracie, 13, Phoenix, 7 and Cooper, 5 - and beloved partner Josh, who in her final days she married in hospital. They were married for a short time but they loved each other for most of their lives, dating in their youth before reconnecting a decade later to build a life together.
What started as a routine doctor's appointment led to a stage four cancer diagnosis. Despite the terrible diagnosis, Tanya stayed positive. She was prepared to fight for her life. It started immediately.
She had to stop working as a financial analyst and prepare for surgery. Doctors operated on her brain on March 21. She seemed to be recovering well and even went home. But, a post op complication led to pneumonia and the ICU.
Tanya was a fighter and she put all she had into getting better with her family by her side every step of the way. But, this battle was too hard even for Tanya.
She died April 7 surrounded by the people who love her.
Now, the people who love her family can help ease some of their worry with a donation to help cover the costs associated with cancer and suddenly raising a family without their mother.
