James Peterson Scholarship Fund

Hi everyone, my name is Margaret Peterson and I am the sister of James Peterson. James was a senior at O'Connor High School in 2009 when his life unfortunately came to an end on a night in May. A drunk drive home from a graduation party gone wrong left a tight bonded family with one less member to love. This tragedy struck my small 4 person family and left us with only 3 including myself. He left behind 2 parents who I don't think could have loved him or any child any more. I, now an only child, am left behind with my 2 parents who want nothing more but to have his legacy live on through a scholarship they began a year after he passed. As the years go by, and the friends and families that used to know James and support the scholarship fund grow up and walk their own paths in live, the scholarship is now solely dependent on my parents and other family members. It's now becoming harder and harder for them to up keep it but they will lose their own home before this scholarship comes to a halt. As their daughter (and the only tech-savvy person they probably know), I want to help and surprise them with a fully funded scholarship. I think it would bring them to their knees and it's the least I could do for the amazing life they've given me and the one they gave my brother James. I know not everyone has the funds to donate, but your blessings are just as appreciated. Thank you for your time.
