Bring Science Dog Home from China

Donation protected

Pinkerton is a gibbon scat-detecting dog I'm working with in China. Please help me bring Pinkerton home to live with me for a well-deserved retirement. After 2 years in China, my little research assistant became my best friend, and I owe it to him to find a way to bring him home. Horribly, pet dogs are now being rounded up in Beijing and sold for meat!

"¨I had Pinkerton trained locally to help me find scat from gibbons in the mountains of China for my PhD research on primate genetics and conservation. He did a great job and even was featured in a few science news articles!

"¨Unfortunately, bringing a dog home from southwestern China is expensive. To navigate the regulations and fly him across Asia and the Pacific with me, I need to use a professional dog transport company. That's going to cost $4,500 that I don't have. "¨Can you help with Pink's retirement fund?

Here is a video of Pinkerton at work finding scat. After I hide the gibbon scat under the third tile, I give him the search command. When Pink finds the correct scent, he lays down with his paws surrounding the scat. Check it out!
