Help Remy Get Life-Saving Surgery
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Remy. I am a 6-year-old boy who loves sleeping, playing with guests that hang out at my mom’s house, getting pets and cuddles, and being loved.
This past Monday, I was diagnosed with Urinary Blockage and Cystitis. It is life-threatening, and I was taken to the ER to get my bladder drained of crystals and stones caused by the cystitis.
Due to my blockage from stones, my bladder was 5x the size of a normal bladder of a kitty my age and if not caught sooner… fatal.
My vets helped me, and I was able to pull through until today.
Today, I am blocked again and this time unblocking isn’t an option anymore. My vets are now advising I get a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) surgery. It’s a procedure that creates a new urinary opening in cats, which can help prevent future urinary blockages.
This surgery will be life-changing and will improve my quality of life drastically if successful.
This surgery will be expensive as it requires a lengthy hospital stay, sedation, medications, and overall care at a hospital with the facilities to perform this invasive procedure. Once done, the chances of the crystals/stones coming again drop by 99%.
I have a lot of life to live, and I am loved by many in my mom’s family. Please consider helping me bring smiles and joy to them longer!
Thank you ❤️
