Resettlement Funds for Afghan Literary Family

This fundraiser is to help UpSet Press Inc, a Brooklyn-based independent press support their displaced Afghan writer and his family to resettle. The press is dedicated to publishing and being involved in bringing to safety our writers who are at risk. The focus of this fundraiser is to help with resettlement to the US. T

Donors, since UpSet Press is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization we are happy to give you a letter affirming your contribution. We're raising funds to help them resettle in the USA. This will be for housing and household needs. Your support would help them take the necessary steps to receive them to USA once their parole is approved. 

 

We will have receipts for all expenditures and will readily share them here for updates. As a non-profit organization, we will report and keep records of everything that will be readily available only with their names and personal information blocked out. We intend that at the end of this long journey, we can share finally a victorious photo of the family resettled and safe.

 

We will keep you updated on all progress and will share any news of this incredible family. At UpSet Press, we work with poetry and with marginalized voices. This moment has forced us to respond in direct support of our friends. We thank you for your support and for standing with us!
