Felicia Accomazzo's
family, co-workers, and friends support her as she begins recovery from brain
surgery sustained from a sudden medical problem discovered in June 2013. Felicia has been diagnosed with Brain Cancer. On
6/24/13 Felicia just turned 31 years of age. On Tuesday June 11th Felicia was taken to the Healdsburg Emergency room due to a severe headache. The ER
doctor ordered a CT Scan and told she had a cyst and a malignant brain tumor, she needed brain
surgery .
The surgery was successful and they were able remove the cyst and approximately 50% of the tumor out. Felicia is recovering at home with her family. She is very positive and recovering well from this traumatic event. In the next few weeks she will be meeting with the doctor to review the pathology reports and get a plan of action for the tumor. She was diagnosed with Stage 1 pilocyptic astrocytoma. She is sadly in the unknown for the time being, but we are all praying for the best. She will need treatment constant medical treatments, as well as another possible brain surgery.
Unfortunately she did not have insurance and this treatment is going to be costly. There will be referrals to UCSF possibly in the future to specialists that can give her a better outcome. We want to try and help with these costs. Felicia is surrounded and supported by her parents, sister, brother, stepsisters, grandmother, nieces, nephews, co-workers, and friends... Let us help keep her hope alive and smile bright. *All money raised will first go towards paying the expenses.
