Emergency Funds for Dave funeral

Hello everyone,

My name is colleen, I am doing this fundraiser with a heavy heart for a dear friend David Wharton, who passed away on Aug 14th, suddenly and unprepared. Dave was one of the kindest people I have met. He enjoyed nature and animals, especially his pet turtle Oscar. He was always there for those in need, offering support and kindness, through thick and thin. We shared a deep bond. Both of us having lost our sons at a young age. Despite his own grief. Dave remained a pillar of strength, always having a positive outlook on life. Dave was a veteran, who served in Germany and he was a volenteer firefighter, who put others before himself.

Unfortunately, 2 years ago he was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. He was told he had 4-6 months to live. Dave dified the odds, surviving 2 years. The few months Dave was placed in a rehabilitation center and hospice, where he fell and broke his hip in 3 differnt places, plus he survived 2 more surgerys. Going about ever day life, I received a phone call by the doctor saying, "I need you to come in asap." Come to to find out, this would be my last visit with my friend Dave, due to complications during surgery. I am devastated by Dave's loss. Dave did not have any life insurance, or family to help with this kind of situation.

Today, I humbly ask to please donate especially this weekend i need to raise 600 dollars to put him at peace. Please help i will update the funeral home at obituary. Thankyou from the bottom of my ❤️
