Miles for Smiles

Hi everyone,

On December 11th, I will be running the Dallas Marathon - my first time racing this distance.

I moved to Dallas this year to start medical school at UT Southwestern, something I've wanted to do for over a decade. My inspiration for pursuing medicine is tied directly to the excellent care my cousin Sasha received many years ago from UT Southwestern doctors and nurses.

Now that I'm finally here, finishing my first semester of medical school, I'd like to give back to the community that taught me to love medicine. I am fundraising for pediatric cancer patients at Dallas Children's Medical Center. I will use the money fundraised to purchase gifts for these patients and their families.

I am "selling" different distances of my marathon race here. I will dedicate part of my marathon towards your generosity, and I will use all the funds to get presents directly to the kids. As a fun way to organize donations, please consider donating in increments of miles for the marathon - i.e. $1 for 1 mile, $10 for 10 miles, $26.2 for the full distance.
