Hurricane Ian Relief Fund

Hi!

We are the McGovern sisters, and we are starting this account for our Mom, Lisa. She has called Sanibel, FL home for the past five years. Sadly, the island took a direct hit from hurricane Ian. Due to extensive damage to the island's causeway, herself, along with other residents, will not be able to return home for many months or possibly a year. The mayor has not been able to determine a timeframe for a return. It has been confirmed by city council that the portion of the island where her home is located was completely under water during the height of the storm. As a result of the storm, our mother will need to find another place to live in the interim until she can return and rebuild or make a decision to make a new beginning elsewhere. She has also been left unemployed from her job located on the island.

If able, we would greatly appreciate any amount of help that you can provide during this time. All donations will go towards relocation to safe housing and the replacement of personal necessities that have been lost in the storm.
