Let's Help our Neighbor Overcome Rape and Assault

Hi, we are Kren Teren and Joyce Rothenberg and we are hoping to raise funds for a dear friend and neighbor who was brutally assaulted and raped in her own home in Nashville, TN on Saturday, July 23rd. Her attacker slipped into her house through an unlocked back door sometime that morning and caught her unawares. She is bruised and injured, but the worst part is this man stole her sense of home and safety.

She is a fighter and we know she is fighting with all her might to regain her composure and sense of security in the world. She is one of the strongest, most caring, positive people you will ever meet. We can’t begin to count the number of times she has gone out of her way to support and help others. Our world is definitely a better place because of her.

We have created this Go Fund Me page to raise money to cover:

1. Medical bills not covered by her insurance

2. Mental health/counseling sessions not covered by her insurance

3. The addition of a security system to her home

4. Maybe even a great guard dog to protect her and help her feel safe

She does not need assistance with everyday expenses; our goal is to cover those added expenses created by this horrendous assault. With your assistance, we will be able to cover her out of pocket expenses related to the assault. If there are any excess funds once the bills have been paid, we will donate the surplus to Nashville’s Sexual Assault Center, a 501C3 Charity doing tremendous work in our community for victims of sexual assault.
