Travis Eichner's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
Travis Eichner, a well-known ocean photographer, has suffered many injuries during a freak accident while shooting pictures of cliff jumpers. While he was previewing one of his shots, the rocks where he was standing gave way, and he plummeted 90 feet onto rocks below. His impact made him unconcious, and his momentum flew him into the ocean face-first.
My friends and I flipped him over and placed him on a surfboard to take him to shore where he was then air lifted to Queen's hospital.
Upon arrival, doctors ran tests and found that he had broken bones all over his body, including his back, along with full-body abrasions and a severe concussion. It's a miracle that he is alive! God was definitely watching over him. He is even expected to make a full recovery.
However, he will have to undergo several surgeries to repair broken bones and other injuries he sustained. This will be a financial burden on him and his family. I may not be the closest with Travis, but from the few times I hung out with him, I saw how friendly and what a kindhearted guy him and his brother were. It absolutely sucks to see something like this happen to great people.
If you could all donate a few dollars, we can cover his medical expenses. His medical bills may exceed the donation goal I listed. He will need to do several months of therapy to recover from his injuries and surgeries. Travis would've done this for any of us, so it's only right that we do this for him. Any extra money will go to buying him a new camera which he lost as he fell onto the rocks. Thank you all and God Bless!
