Cancer treatment support

I don’t think anyone ever imagined being in this position. This whole thing has been a shock to say the least, I wanna walk you through my experience so far so anyone who would like to donate has a better understanding what it’s going towards. I ended up at Sarasota memorial hospital 06/08/2023 for coughing up blood, after multiple tests and scans they discovered a large mass in my right lung. I was admitted and was put on the schedule for a Bronchoscopy for the following Monday. I was put under general anesthesia and the procedure lasted a little longer than expected due to heavy bleeding. The doctors took multiple samples of the mass and sent it off to biopsy. When I woke up from the procedure they did let me know it looks like a malignant tumor( cancerous tumor ). The results came back the following day and my little friend is a Neuroendocrine tumor, compatible with grade 1 carcinoid. That’s about as far as we have gotten with things, I need to have more procedures done, I was discharged from Sarasota Oncology after being there a week to be sent to Moffitt cancer institute in tampa. I need to have a pet scan done to see if the cancer has spread anywhere, fingers crossed if it hasn’t spread, I will need to have surgery to remove the tumor. As you can imagine staying in the hospital for a week with round the clock care and multiple test, I’m sure I have racked up a hefty medical bill. I am going to be out of work as well until I hopefully have my surgery. I don’t have an exact estimate yet so that’s why I have put off making a go fund me so far. The icing on the cake is my new medical insurance doesn’t kick in until August 1st. All of this will have to be paid out of pocket. I hate to be in this position, but I know I can’t do this alone. Anything and everything helps, I will continue to post updates, please share this with who you can. I will try and get an exact number of the costs but for now it’s an estimate.  I am scared, but I am gonna do my very best to get through this. Thank you all.
