Marrying the girl of his dreams

My son Daan moved to Cambodia 1.5 years ago and met the love of his life. As she is the only child of her parents, they are very protective of her.

He spent all of his money to be able to get engaged to her. They are now saving up for their wedding. Daan works six days a week, 12 hours per day already.

My name is Desirée, I’m Daans mom. Before Daan moved to Cambodia, he was very unhappy. He saw a job opportunity in Cambodia, and took this chance with both hands. Found a job, a house, and now a lovely, beautiful, smart and funny girlfriend.

Two hundred guests were invited for their engagement, as is the custom in Cambodia. It was a wonderful day. But now all of his savings are gone.

His fiancée's family have warmed up to him and now love him dearly. Together we can contribute a nice sum, but you guessed it, it’s not enough.

So, with Daans permission, I set up this crowdfunding page. Any amount is more than welcome. It’s good to see him so happy.

The money will be used for meals for the guests, and costs of the wedding ceremony and religious ceremony that will last two days, according to Cambodian custome.
