Treat a Hero: Care Boxes for Troops

What a difference $5 can make! Hi! I'm Lynn and I have an online gift basket company in partnership with La Bella Baskets, a national gifting company. My business is called Inspired Baskets by La Bella. We are on a mission to raise funds to ship more of our sweet care packages to active duty service members! La Bella Baskets and Our Troops
I love many things about my partner company, La Bella Baskets, but one that truly warms my heart is their awareness of and gratitude for the American service men and women protecting our country. We can't thank our troops enough, but we can certainly help them feel our care and concern in many small ways, one of which is by sending them care packages. Care Packages
La Bella Baskets retails a sweet selection of treats and care packages designed especially for shipping to these heroes as tokens of appreciation. Family members and friends often send these to their loved ones stationed overseas. But why can't we ALL work harder to get more of these shipped to deserving troops? These special care packages are perfect for bringing a little bit of home to troops posted worldwide. With your help and support, the cost of shipping these care packages can easily be covered in several small donations of $5 or $10. They can all add up to making a brave soldier feel the love from citizens back home. Let's send them some moments of happiness!

Treats for Troopers: a selection of All-American candy and snacks with happy-face stress ball
Boredom Buster: small games and activities accompanied by All-American treats and snacks
America The Beautiful: Flag box filled with a large assortment of treats and snacks, accompanied by the book "I Pledge Allegiance", filled with inspiring stories of hope and valor.

We Can Help Them Feel Our Support
One of the most important ways we can encourage these brave men and women is to let them know we are thinking of them. I have been looking for a way to fund an ongoing shipment of these uplifting care packages to active service members. While I don't have disposable income to purchase boxes myself, I do receive a 20% discount on my purchases, so we can make our dollars go farther. I'm seeking people willing to chip in small or large donations to put together these shipments.

Boxes retail from about $24 - $40 with the discount, and shipping is about $24.

As my personal thank-you, for every $5 donation, contributors will receive one entry into a drawing for one of our Lid Lites Jar Candles, a 24.95 value. The winner will have 32 scents to choose from! At 2-3 month intervals, I will enter the donor names into random.org to select the name of a winner for the candle. Please make sure I have a way to contact you in case you are the winner!

ALL donations will go 100% to the purchase and shipping of the troops' care packages! Website fees and giveaways will be paid for by me. If any profits remain, I plan to donate them back to Treat A Hero. My short-term goal is to get 8-10 care packages sent in the next 4-6 weeks. Whatever we can do will be a great start!

How It Works
This page will keep a tally of donations at the top. Each time I receive enough to pay for one care package and shipping, I will post an update on my blog with the care package that was sent, where, and to whom. Check here for updates: News From Inspired Baskets
