Lifesaving Fundraising for Dexter Koonce

Hi everyone, my name is Dexter Koonce, and I have End Stage Renal Disease. I have been on dialysis for the last two years. Now three or four times a week, for 3.5 hours a day, I am connected to a machine that keeps me alive. Some days I feel miserable after treatment. It has taken an emotional and financial toll on me.

Being unable to work a full-time job for two years has caused me to be overrun with bills. It seems the bills never stop coming. Last week I got one bill from the hospital for $3,000. Almost every month, I am hospitalized for one reason or the other. I never thought finding a kidney would be so hard; so much time has passed. I have been able to stay healthy enough to still be on the transplant list.

At the same time, my financial health (bills) is really bad. Seeing these bills piling up and being unable to pay is not where I ever thought I would be.
