Cancer Bills Help Dianne Hill

I'm raising money for a dear sweet Lady at work Dianne Hill.  She is the nicest woman I've worked with and when I first got to my job she was just out of treatment.  Now the bills are piling up and I asked her to share her story.  Here it is in her words:

Dianne Hill Age 52

Diagnosis:   Stage 3B Ovarian Cancer

 

Stage 3B Ovarian Cancer tried to take my life along with 10 more malignant tumors in my abdominal canal.

Went for a normal yearly check-up December 20th 2017 and was told I had a grapefruit size mass and needed surgery ASAP.

 

After many test and scans I was sent to UAB Hospital Birmingham Alabama where major surgery was performed on January 16th 2018 and 10 more malignant tumors were removed along with the grapefruit size mass that was malignant.  The pathology report result was Stage 3B Ovarian Cancer plus 10 malignant tumors in abdomen. I stayed in UAB Hospital Birmingham for 8 days as my small intestines would not wake up after surgery.

 

I was able to return home January 24th 2018 to recover from major surgery and to start six months of chemotherapy treatments for the cancer the Surgeons couldn’t see during surgery. I have completed all of the scheduled chemotherapy treatments thus far and I am scheduled for CT scan and lab work in October to make sure the cancer has not returned.

 

With the Lord’s healing hand on me through prayer, surgery and six months of chemotherapy treatments. I have come through surgery and chemo and now I face the battle of ALL the Medical Bills that have followed. I have paid nearly $11,000.00 thus far and still have nearly $30,000 to pay in outstanding medical bills after insurance. I know this is a drop in the bucket to the total cost for the major surgery and chemotherapy treatments, CT scans, travel expenses, etc… yet it is a hardship as I am my only income.

 

I am forever grateful for all the medical attention I have received and continue to receive from UAB Hospital Birmingham AL and the NMMC Hematology and Oncology Cancer Center in Tupelo, MS.

I believe I had the Best Medical Attention any one could ask for and continue to receive the best.

 

I am grateful for any assistance possible as I try to work and pay these medical bills. This would be a burden lifted in my healing process and allow me to concentrate on getting stronger every day.
