Help Craig Molloy & Family

Donation protected
What an incredible journey for Craig Molloy. In January 2017, Craig was diagnosed with liver failure (due to prolonged high dose ibuprofen over a period of years). He was bloated, yellow as a banana and delirious. The ammonia build up in his blood was effecting his heart, mind, and kidneys. He underwent dialysis, blood transfusions and had multiple tests. We prayed. Miraculously- Craig began to recover. Within a few days he was no longer yellow and the swelling was decreasing. He started thinking clearly again... and was eventually sent home from the hospital. But it would be short lived. Within 3 days, his blood became seriously retoxified with ammonia...to the point that he nearly died. He was delirious and his heart was beating off the charts. He was sedated, intubated, and was put into a medically induced coma. After he was stabilized, the sedation was ceased...but no matter what they did- he would not wake up. Days stretched into a week, and then another week. Doctors thought he had no brain activity...and things looked very grim. We prayed that things would get better. And they did. Craig opened his eyes! He was not able to respond to commands yet- but he was waking up! He started opening his eyes more and more...so the doctors decided to try to wean him off of the ventilator. They put in a tracheotomy, and hoped for the best. A few days later, he said 'hello' to his wife, Julie! He was beginning to recover. After flushing the ammonia from his body, his mind started clearing up. He was able to hold down a conversation. And then a another miracle! His doctors said his liver was beginning to recover! It would be a long road- but he might not need a liver transplant after all. Craig is currently trying to walk and recover from 3 months of immobility. He can walk with a cane, and is on a restricted diet and medication. During his hospital stay, he lost 60 pounds, and his muscles began to atrophy. He has a ways to go, but is now recovering at home. This gofundme is to help the family with medical bills and help them get back on their feet after 3 months without Craig's income.
