Hip replacement recovery fund

Hello,

My name is Kristin. I'm a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. At the beginning of this year, I found out I was born with hip dysplasia (a congenital birth defect where the hip joint never fully forms). As a result, I ended up with severe osteoarthritis in both hips. It came on suddenly, painfully, and I was told there was no other solution than to have both hip joints replaced.

I live and work alone, am self employed, and have no access to disability insurance or other financial resources to support myself during my recovery. I was told it will be 2-3 months before I'm able to return to work and see clients again.

I am asking for the support of my clients, friends, family, and extended community to help me get through this challenging time. Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated and contribute to my peace of mind. I have never had surgery before and am doing my best to stay positive and trust that I'll be supported throughout this journey.

My intention is to make a swift and full recovery so I can return to work as soon as possible and continue to be of service. I am humbled by this experience and trust that it will only serve to make me a better doctor and more compassionate human being.
