Ayden’s fight against Leukemia

I am Aunt Katie. It’s been one really hard week. But really it’s been long months of Jason and Brianna asking questions and searching for answers. Even though they received a shocking and scary diagnosis, there is now a plan.

Ayden was diagnosed with T Cell Lymboblastic Leukemia. He has remained incredibly strong, brave and positive despite a chest tube, spinal tap, bone marrow biopsy and aggressive start of Chemo. The Haley family is so thankful for the love, support, visits, calls, texts, pictures and cards.

Thankfully, both Jason and Brianna’s employment has been understanding and supportive. They have both been able to stay at hospital with Ayden and are taking turns going home. There have been many offerings of money and ultimately we decided to create this platform.

It is not known exactly how long Ayden will be inpatient or how frequently he will become inpatient throughout expected two and half year course of Chemo. The Haley family is trying to figure out their new normal and know there will be good days and bad.

This is going to be a long journey and Ayden is in for the fight of his life but in his words, he is going to kick cancers butt!
