On the wagon for The Stroke Foundation
Hi all, my name is Madison. A 32-year-old nurse, who ironically, has already dedicated 10-years to studying and working in the Neurosciences field.
I’ve been extremely nostalgic of late which has lead me down a path of change and growth, so I would like to pair a challenge with some charity. On the 20th of May I will be going sober for 3-months to raise money for The Stroke Foundation in honour of our mum.
In 2017 our mum passed away suddenly, aged only 59, at the hand of a stroke. Therefore, this charity is one close to mine and my family’s hearts.
I don’t foresee the next 3-months being without it’s own challenges, I do however see it being very rewarding. Which is why I’m making it public, to keep myself accountable. I would appreciate any support in the form of any sized contribution towards my goal.
Please read on to learn a little about The Stroke Foundation. It is a national organisation that aims to prevent stroke, save lives, and enhance recovery. They are the only charity dedicated exclusively to stroke. They partner with stroke survivors and their families, healthcare professionals and researchers. They support survivors on their journey to live the best possible life after stroke. But most importantly they build community awarenessand foster new thinking and innovative treatments.
