URGENT APPEAL: Help raise money for survival

My names Jennah, I’m British Palestinian and I have set up this Gofundme page to help evacuate our family friends from Gaza. Shaima, her husband Hussein, and their three young children Khalil, Suhaila and Mesk aged 7, 5 and 3 years old, currently live in Gaza City, Nuseirat Camp.

Shaima taught my sister Raeanna and I for many years and is not only our friend but our sister. Shaima is the kindest, most caring woman you could meet. Their home has been completely destroyed, they’ve had no access to any aid due to limited supplies not reaching them, they have been displaced multiple times, they have nowhere to go and are surrounded by the constant threat of being bombed or starved to death and witnessing unbelievable levels of death and destruction.

members of their family were killed in an airstrike along with over 100 people who were killed when Israel hit their family’s tower block in October 2023. All of the people in the photo below are family members who have been killed...

When I asked Shaima what message would she send to the world, she told me ”I say to the whole world, stop this barbaric war. We want to live in safety with our children. We just want a decent life. Wake up from your dreams and see the massacres in Gaza”

When I said I wished I could trade places with her, she told me “I do not wish for you to be in my place or with me in these harsh circumstances. I hope you, your family and all people stay in peace and security throughout your life”

Shaima said “The hardest thing in this life is to see all our loved ones and friends martyred and we are helpless, to see the only house that contains us destroyed while there is no other place, and to see our children die of fear and hunger. It really is a cruel and unfair life”

“The situation has become very catastrophic. Every day is worse than before. There is no life in Gaza. We all die a thousand times in a day”

“Every day our loved ones, brothers and friends die in front of our eyes and we are helpless, our hearts can no longer bear it”

“If it were up to us adults, we would not care, but what is the fault of our children who die of hunger and bombing and live in fear every second?”

Our goal is to raise the money needed for this families survival and when possible to evacuate and rebuild their lives. All money raised will be transferred directly to Shaima and she has access to this Gofundme account. Please message us with any queries.

Expense Details: 

Rafah/Egypt Travel Agency fees: £4000 per adult (total £8000 for Shaima and Hussein) 

Rafah/Egypt Travel Agency fees: £2000 per child (total £6000 for all 3 children) 

Passport application fees: £213

Approximately £580 to cover GoFundMe transaction fees (2.9%+25p per transaction)

The remaining money is needed for food, water etc.
