Barb Weinberger’s Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On September 6th, Barb suffered a brain aneurysm that ruptured. She was urgently rushed to Victoria General Hospital and then airlifted to Vancouver General Hospital for surgery. Her husband Dale and two children, Cameron and Kristen, were on the first ferry to be with her.
The doctor was happy with the surgery but said the rest was up to her. Barb has been so strong, and, true to her nature, she is feisty and will not back down from a challenge. The family sees improvement with Barb every day, although it is still unknown how long she will need to stay in Vancouver.
The funds raised by this page will go toward accommodation, travel needed for Barb's family to be with her and support her during her recovery, and lost wages for the family while in Vancouver. In addition, it will take the stress off of worrying about returning to work immediately and help with daily essentials.
Many people in Barb's community have asked how they can show their support, so this fundraiser has been started. I know that Barb is missing the start of the new school year in her new classroom with her new group of kindergarteners and the fantastic staff that have been so supportive.
Thank you in advance for supporting this strong family and helping get Barb back home, and to the community, she cares so much about.
