Love for Luke❤️

On January 22, 2020, three year old Luke Pearson was diagnosed with a tumor on his brain stem
while at Women’s and Children’s Hospital in
Charleston. They sent him to Ruby Memorial
Hospital in Morgantown, WV since they were
better equipped to handle his care.

Once in Morgantown, Luke had another MRI on Friday, January 24. The MRI showed that the tumor
had diffused (spidered out).
The surgeon came in and talked to Brooke and
Donovan, Luke’s parents, after another MRI post
surgery.  Unfortunately, they were not able to get
the entire tumor. There is a small amount behind
the brain stem that they weren’t able to reach.
They will wait to get results back from pathology
to determine the exact course of treatment, but
chemo is likely.
We do know for sure it is asteocytoma grade 2. But don’t know genetics or mutation yet. But it is 100% astrocytoma grade 2.  This could mean chemo
 once a week for a year. 

One of the main challenges will be financial. This is one obstacle that we don’t want them worrying 
about.  Please join us in helping them keep their
focus on Luke.  In addition, he has two sisters they have to worry about. Thank you for continued
