Help for Bryan
Donation protected
Last night my brother-in-law, Bryan, was in a motorcycle accident. From what we understand, his bike struck an SUV, then went off the road and into a ditch near the water. He was taken via ambulance to Capitol Medical Center and sent via Life Flight to Harborview. He is currently under sedation and has fractured his skull in 3 places (two of which are causing small brain bleeds), a compression fracture in his T3 vertebrae, and an open fracture to his left Talus. His neurologist has described his brain injury as “touch and go” at this time. He is waiting for surgery to repair his ankle.
Bryan is 33 years old and has been working as an autobody painter for almost the past decade. He and his wife, Kaela, are expecting their first child this September. Due to the severity of his injuries and a long road to recovery, Bryan will be out of work for the foreseeable future.
His medical costs and recovery care are predicted to be astronomical, and we humbly ask for help.
Bryan was taken to the best hospital in the state for Trauma Care, located 75 miles from where they live. Kaela will be staying near the hospital but will also need to be able to go back and forth. She will also be unable to go to work to be by Bryan’s side.
The best way to help at this time is to donate. All proceeds from this go fund me will go directly to Bryan’s medical care and recovery, along with alleviating the financial burden from the loss of work they will both experience and the expenses that will be incurred so that Kaela can remain with him.
Many of you know and love Bryan, but due to Covid restrictions, only two people are allowed at the hospital at a time. We ask that friends and loved ones refrain from visiting so family can be with him. This is a terrifying and overwhelming time for all of us, especially as we await test results and the upcoming surgery. To help update everyone, information will be posted directly to this website from Kaela or the family. Please do not reach out to Kaela, as she is focusing all her time and attention on Bryan.
Thank you all so much for your love, well wishes, and support
