Mission Statement:
We believe that Salinas is entitled to a safe and inclusive environment that promotes health and unity. Our mission is to integrate the residents of Salinas to utilize city streets harvesting an overall sense of well-being and vitality through physical activity. This free event temporarily transforms Alisal Street, from Main Street to Sanborn Road, making it available to a wide range of recreational activities, such as walking, biking, fitness classes, and also features live music and art. Ciclovia Salinas promises a day filled with hands-on activities and resources for children and adults.
We are establishing the platform of opportunity to adopt healthier habits in order to counteract major health issues. Ciclovia will positively impact economic development in Salinas through a sustainable event that promotes local businesses. This event will restructure the culture of Salinas, fostering a new sense of belonging for our people.
Fundraising Purpose:
To reach our goal of bringing Ciclovia to Salinas we need to fundraise $10,000.00. This money will be used to cover some of the operating costs of Ciclovia Salinas including: marketing materials, volunteer t-shirts, portable toilet rentals, sanitation purposes, street closure costs (barricades, signs and safet
