Hi, my name is Wayne Watson, and I am helping to raise funds to help Ghingo Brooks.

Ghingo is a retired president of Malcolm X College, one of the City Colleges of Chicago. In recent years he has experienced several significant health challenges leading to extended hospitalizations. These extended hospital stays have led to mounting medical expenses and increasing hospital debt...

Ghingo is a man who has been a role model to Black students; he is a husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, educator and colleague who has interwoven each of these life roles into the man we have all learned to respect and value.

Ghingo currently has health challenges that would strain any family, both physically and financially.

This funding effort has been discussed with Ghingo's family, who are humbled and appreciative of any support. Funds will be forwarded to Ghingo's wife (Phyllis) to help ensure the family's well-being and that Ghingo's health needs are met.
