I’m reaching out to share the story of my dear friends, David and Sylvia Chunn, who are facing an immense challenge. David’s confirmed diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) has turned their world upside down. As the primary breadwinner, David’s inability to work indefinitely has placed an enormous strain on their family. They have four wonderful children Synia, a first year medical student, Cristian, a first year college student, and twins, Seth and Aidan who are freshmen in high school. With multiple hospital stays and mounting medical bills, they are grappling with an uncertain future.
