Anyone and everyone who knows Kevin Weese knows what an incredible caring, loving and funny guy he is. There is no way you can sit in a room with him and not crack a smile. Thats what he does to people, he makes them laugh and smile.
April has been an April like no other for Kevin and his family.
On April 3rd Kevin had a seizure at work, then had an other one in the ambulance on the way to the hospital.
That seizure in the ambulance was the last thing he remembers until 10 days later when the doctors took him off of life support.
Kevin Has stage 4 lung and brain cancer. Adenicarcinoma, Metastatic disease and more. Not curable BUT TREATABLE and BEATABLE.....
Fifteen days later and 10 bouts of radiation on his lungs and Thankfully Kevin was released to his home with 24 hour a day care.
He is now preparing for radiation treatments on his brain.
Kevins treatment is a day by day thing. They need to see how and what the radiation does for him to know what the next step is.
Prayers, positive thinking with a positive attitude and doing exactly what the doctors tell him is getting him by everyday.
"I am going to beat this ....I am to young to die!" These are Kevins exact words.
Kevin has so many friends and family that love him so much. From childhood friends to friends he is just getting to know. From family on the west coast to family on the East coast...there are to many to count....I want to thank you all for the prayers and love that was sent during this life changing event.
Everyday kevin is getting his strength back but the treatments he is enduring everyday are still taking a toll on his body. As of now Kevin can not return to work. Kevin has his wife Charlotte, his son Hunter(who is his 24 hour a day care taker) and his daughter Cheyenne who is a senior in high school and will be graduating this month. Charlotte is a teacher at a Stuart, Florida preschool. It is hard enough to support a family with two incomes coming in.... NOW they are down to ONE income and times are getting tough. Insurance doesnt cover anything 100%...Co-payments, perscriptions and gas for those daily trips to the doctors are piling up not to mention everyday bills, food, etc.
Please find it in your hearts to help Kevin and his family out in this time of need. Anything will help them get through this without them losing everything in the process. AND please keep the prayers, phone calls, facebook message etc coming. Positive energy is needed. Besides we cant let him get bored and start thinking to much. We need to keep him away from the depression monster!!!
