The Essex Family

Since July, Jessi and I have struggled to keep our head above water. 

I lost my job at the University of Florida in July and we have been living off our savings and the generosity of others since then.

However, we have exhausted all of our savings and have no recourse for the future. Both Claire and Eli have multiple doctor appointments in the future and Jessi and I are struggling to keep the house afloat.

It is quite humbling and embarrassing to ask for help, but we have no other course.

Until I get a job (which I have applied for over 80), we are stuck in this situation.

I hate to ask the help of others, but we have truly reached the point of no return.

We have applied to all state assistance programs and gotten help from them, but with our medical bills and lack of income, we are still struggling. 

I love all of my friends and thank you for being there.

We will beat this and great things will come of it.
