Crime Victim Help for Rhonda McClain
Donation protected
My friend Rhonda McClain was the victim of a brutal knife attack in her home in June 2013. This incident left her with a fractured foot, multiple stab wounds and severe damage to her left hand. Her medical insurance covered most of the hospitalization and surgery expenses but there are co-pays for continuing doctors visits and physical therapy and the need for gas money to get there. She must go to physical therapy 3 times at week and the co-pays are $40 per visit plus follow up doctor appointments if she wants to regain use of her left hand. I am told physical therapy could last for the next 8-10 months.
At the time this happened she was on unemployment due to a loss of her job during company cutbacks. The unemployment benefits have run out and she is not eligible for disability. Due to the extent of her injuries and the continuing medical care, she is unable to seek employment at this time. She has exhausted all avenues to pay for daily living expenses and the medical bills that continue to mount. She is facing losing everything and becoming homeless due to the criminal actions of someone else. The county that she lives in does not have proper resources for crime victims.
Please help if you are able. She must continue to pay for the physical therapy at the time of the therapy and must have it if she ever wants to regain use of her hand. May God Bless you All. No amount is to small.
