Danny's Top Surgery

Hi. My name is Danny. I'm an assigned female at birth trans man and have been on my journey of discovering my identity since I was in high school. In 2019 a week before my birthday, I found my identity as a man but due to low income and being nearly homeless a couple times, I was unable to begin hormone replacement therapy until my partner helped me move to her household. At the time of writing this, I am a little less than a month on hormone replacement therapy. 

My parents and my partner's mother and grandmother are unsupportive of my transition and while my partner and her friend who lives with us support it, we still are a low income household. I work entirely off of my art commissions and a part time job while my partner is on SSI and we both help with finances around the house. However, I am hopeful that one day I will be able to afford my top surgery.

That is why I made a GoFundMe to hopefully find some support from fellow LGBTQ+ community members, allies and friends. I know that it is hard for many people, which is why I understand if this ends up not kicking off the ground very far. And I also know there will be trolls flocking to this. But I hope that in the decade to come I can continue my journey and find more success in it.
