3rd Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution

The time is approaching for the Flowers Whiting Initiatives 3rd Annual Turkey Giveaway; continuing our endeavor to serve families in need within Baltimore City, we want to provide support to the families who either directly or indirectly have been subjected to the criminal justice system. I intend to set up a hub to distribute turkeys to families who may not be fortunate enough to access quality foods in areas designated as food deserts. With the holidays approaching, I want to ensure families can receive turkeys for Thanksgiving supper. Factoring in the cost of quality turkeys, the plan is to distribute between 200-350 turkeys and hot meals. We will also have to factor in the price of renting a Uhaul truck to transport the turkeys from the depot to the distribution site. I am asking those within my network and outside to assist me in meeting my goal of $6,000 before November 19, 2022, to service those in need within several Baltimore communities before Thanksgiving (November 24, 2022). Every dollar donated will be used toward feeding the hungry in underserved communities. Your contribution will be greatly appreciated.
