Una Cornea Para Gorette Sotomayor

Hello to all our friends and Tennis Family Members in Puerto Rico and Texas. My name is Lesvia Maldonado Diaz and I am writing to all of you on behalf of my dear friend and Tennis Partner Gorette Sotomayor, from Puerto Rico. For as long as I can remember Gorette and I have been Tennis doubles partners. Then my job took me to Texas where I was able to meet so many new friends and join many more wonderful new tennis family members. For me and many others, Tennis is how we meet, live and learn to love our extended family members everywhere. For all of the happiness tennis has brought to my life and many others, I will always be thankful. After retirement I returned to Puerto Rico looking forward to rejoin the tennis courts with my old tennis partner Gorette Sotomayor. Was I in for a big surprise. Upon my return to PR I learned that Gorette Sotomayor had suffered Trauma to her right eye and was under going medical treatment to regain her eye sight. Dr. Luis Santiago from PR Medical Center has recommended that in order for Gorette to regain some of her loss eye sight, she will have to have a right eye Cornea Transplant Surgery. Gorette does not have the financial funds nor a private medical health insurance to cover all of these medical expenses. Gorette Sotomayor has been part of the Tennis Family for many years and loved by all of us. I hope you can join us to help fund Gorette's Cornea Transplant Surgery.
