Help Gerry Walk Again

The local community near and far are coming together to support Gerry Corrigan in his recovery journey!

It is nearing a year since Gerry sustained a prolonged cardiac arrest which left him battling for his life initially, to where he is today. After defying medics and science on his rehabilitation journey to rebuilding his independence again.

Thanks to ambulance crew, Cavan General Hospital, Monaghan Rehab Unit, the National Rehab Hospital Dún Laoghaire and continuous prayer for Gerry, he has made a miraculous recovery to date and is nearing his discharge home on a permanent basis.

Gerry's sheer grit, work ethic and determination along with his faith and family support got him to where he is today. His unmeasurable love for his wonderful wife Anita and three children Aoife, Philip and Saranna has been his constant source of drive and motivation.

On discharge, Gerry needs many costly therapies and supports to maximize his full recovery. To get him to his ultimate goal of walking independently Gerry and his family feel now is the right time to accept the many kind offers and proposals of fundraising to help him in his rehabilitation.

On being informed of such over whelming support from the community and the strong wishes of people to come together to help him. Gerry true to form (after taking 10 seconds to take it all in emotionally) said

"If they believe in me I'll do it, I'll do it for them!"
