I’m reaching out with a request for someone who has dedicated his life to helping others: my brother, David Thurston. As a passionate and generous social worker, he spends his days connecting with people, offering hope, and helping them navigate life’s toughest challenges. His words, compassion, and intellect are his most powerful tools—but recently, he’s been facing an immense personal challenge.

My brother was recently the victim of an assault that left him with significant dental injuries. This has not only caused physical pain but has also deeply impacted his confidence and ability to communicate—something that’s essential to his work and his sense of self.
