Preserving a National Treasure

Hi, my name is Terry Holzemer and I'm trying to raise funds to preserve a national treasure, the old Bayside Cannery Company site in Palo Alto, California. We need $1500.00 (that's 15 hundred, not thosand) to apply for a City "historical designation" of this site. Built in 1918, the Cannery is now under threat of demolition for the development of high-end condos and offices. This site is unique b/c it is one of the last of its kind in all of California, it qualifies as an important Califonia Historic Resource, and was originally built by Thomas Foon Chew, one of Califorinia's first great Chinese-American entrepreneurs. Please help us, if you can -- 5, 10, 20, or more. Our goal is simply to have the necessary funds to apply for this vital historical designation of the Cannery.
