My name is Carla Angili Vallade, and I am on the cusp of a transformative journey to pursue a Master's degree in Service Design at BAU College of Arts and Design of Barcelona. As a daughter of an immigrant Mexican single mother and a proud first-generation individual, my journey is one shaped by resilience, determination, and the unyielding spirit of my heritage. Raised with the values of hard work and perseverance, I carry the legacy of my mother's sacrifices and dreams in every step I take.
Now, on the verge of this profound opportunity, I stand ready to embrace the next chapter of my life. I was accepted into the Masters program in Service Design at BAU College of Arts and Design in Barcelona. It is a perfect fit for my aspirations, combining my love for design with my drive for cultural and environmental sustainability. This program offered her a unique opportunity to create innovative solutions that fostered positive change in the world.
This journey will not be easy. The statistics loom over me like a dark cloud -did you know that only 8% of Latinas hold a masters degree? Earnings disparities by race and ethnicity further compound the difficulties, as Latinas earn less than any other ethnicity. I firmly believe that education is a catalyst for change, and by supporting my journey, you will be sowing the seeds of empowerment, diversity, and progress.
Growing up in a household where opportunities were hard-fought and dreams were held with unwavering hope, I've learned the power of perseverance and the importance of breaking barriers.
I stand tall, inspired by the strength of my roots, and motivated to create a better tomorrow for myself and those who come after me. Together, let us break barriers and illuminate a future where every dream knows no bounds.
About Service Design:
Service design is a rapidly growing field that focuses on improving the quality and experience of services. It combines elements of design thinking, user experience, and business strategy to create innovative solutions that meet the needs of both individuals and organizations.

Why I Need Your Support:

- Donations above $150: For contributions exceeding $150, I will express my gratitude by sending you a book with a compilation of all the illustrations being sold on my Etsy store with additional pages.
- Donations above $300: Donors who contribute over $300 will receive the book of illustrations, a copy of my thesis book, showcasing my extensive research, insights, and creativity. - Donations above $1000: For those who make a significant contribution of $1000 or more, I will go above and beyond to express my gratitude. Etsy Store: Friday the 21st I'll open an Etsy store where I am selling unique items & illustrations created by amazing artists. Each illustration is a visual representation of my journey, beliefs, and passions. By purchasing these illustrations, you can step into my world and show your support for my creative endeavors.
