Water Wells For Zanzibar - Kianga

Access to clean water among the least fortunate has become increasingly challenging after 2019, when the pandemic started. With all of the recent events happening all around the globe, the fundamental human necessities are still in short supply, and a simple cup of clean water is a luxury for some. In this era of covid-19, getting access to water has become even more difficult.

100% of the funds raised will go directly to the project. This project will take place the small community of Kianga within the island of Zanzibar in Tanzania. We want to help a community that requires clean water. We have a solid working connection with the Zanzibar Water Authority (ZAWA) and work directly with Arkam Juma Ali, a ZAWA lab technician responsible for testing clean water quality in the Zanzibar area. As we get started on this project, we'll keep you updated on any new developments and formal documentation that come our way, starting with a stamp of permission from the Zanzibar Water Authority for the well's construction.
 

With the success of our last charity project, we were able to gather £3500 in Gofundme and cash donations, allowing us to give water to a community of 300 people and help the neighbouring communities. Because the project worked so well and had such positive feedback from our donors, we decided to continue charity work every year and hope to extend to other parts of the world eventually. Our goal for 2022 is to support another community in Zanzibar and establish a means to help more people worldwide. In future, we hope to build a rapport with other charities around the world.

 

Our investments will support the development of a well that will last for generations. Once completed, the well's will be of good standards and have longevity. The quoted price is approximately to 6,300,000TZS+/- which is roughly £2000. The well that is being built will be able to accommodate roughly 100 people. If we exceed our goal and get additional donations, all of the extra funds will be used to support charitable work within the community
