APL Uncle Vanya Capital Campaign!

"Akropolis displays an excellence that blurs genre lines... All is laid out with vocal and physical exactitude. A seriously satisfying performance," Seattle Times on Seneca's Oedipus

Greetings, Friends and Supporters!
Akropolis Performance Lab is currently in production for our world-premiere of Zhenya Lavy's new translation of Anton Chekhov's Uncle Vanya: Scenes from Country Life, and we need your help!

Performances will run March 21 through April 5, 2014.

"(APL's) production is filled with imagination and confident expression, all predicated on the power of theatrical immediacy, the confluence of audience and actor in the moment of live performance. The company is talented, balanced, disciplined and passionate, the artistry mature and substantial." Jerry Kraft, reviewing Seneca's Oedipus

What We Need Help With:
Our most immediate need is assistance with rehearsal space rental.
We anticipate investing a minimum of 120 hours of studio rehearsal preparing our Uncle Vanya, and a single rehearsal can cost roughly $50 in rental fees.

That's where you come in!
Every $20 you contribute guarantees us a minimum of 1 invaluable hour of rehearsal. Donations may also help us with costumes and sets, as well as performance space rental. And what a space we have lined up!

Details, Details!
We are thrilled to announce that our Production of Chekhov's Uncle Vanya will be performed in the Garden House of the Washington State Federation of Garden Clubs on Beacon Hill in Seattle.

The Garden House (Turner-Koepf House) was originally built for E.A. Turner in 1883, 14 years prior to Chekhov's publication of Uncle Vanya. A Mr. Koepf bought it, moved it to its present site on Beacon Hill in 1906.

Every little bit helps. We're not asking for any minimum donation. Every little bit will help. While we are not able to offer tax deductions, everyone who donates will get Financial Supporter mention in the program, and we have put together some really great reward levels to help you maximize the value of your contribution.
