DeLynne's Cancer Surgery

Donation protected

Many of our friends have walked with us, wept with us, prayed with us during this sometimes terrifying but always faith-filled journey toward recovery.

For those who are not familiar with our situation, DeLynne was diagnosed in August 2009 with stage three carcinoma of the breast. Having defeated a cancer in the same location fourteen years ago using homeopathic treatments, we naturally assumed we could expect the same outcome using the same treatments. For whatever reason, the cancer this time was a tenacious beast that did not favorably respond so readily and instead went through an explosive growth spurt this past winter of 2012.

By April of this year, the tumor had grown to the point that the whole side of her breast had broken open and developed a massive open wound that required daily dressing and treatment. After a harrowing three months of trying to convince a surgeon to debride and debulk the affected tissue without insisting on a course of chemotherapy treatments first, we were finally scheduled for surgery on July 24th.

Even though we spent months jumping through hoops in a series of crisis events, in hindsight we see that every step was orchestrated by our Heavenly Father to provide exactly what we needed at the time. We are trusting that He will continue providing for our needs exactly as He promised: "My God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory."

Our need at this point, and the reason for this page, is to raise funds to pay for the hospital and doctor bills, both of which are far less than they would be had circumstances varied even slightly. We're also scheduled for some much needed alternative therapies (far cheaper than chemo) to eradicate remaining cancer cells in her body. That too is a miracle. Instead of having to travel to Mexico or somewhere else to a cancer clinic that does these specific therapies, we learned that our local homeopath just recently introduced these therapies to his practice.

If you're uncomfortable giving donations online, private message Preston or DeLynne on Facebook and we can give you a Postal Address.

The amount of our goal is our best estimate of our out of pocket costs. Those who are led to help us financially are loved and appreciated deeply. Money is a necessary commodity but your love, compassion and constant prayers are the bedrock of our Savior's command that we be one, even as He and the Father are One. For that, DeLynne and I are eternally grateful.

May you be blessed abundantly according to His Great Grace.
