Jason's upcoming race season.

In 2011 I became a double leg amputee in Canada. I learned to mono (sit) ski in January 2012 with the National Ability Centre (NAC) in Park City, Utah. In February I raced for the first time. It was exhilarating, exciting, and humbling.

I returned to Australia with a determination to race. Able Management Group facilitate adaptive skiing. AMG’s Norton House at the base of Mt Hotham is named after the late Mick Norton an Olympic Gold medalist mono skier. During my time at Norton House I was made very welcome at planet Hoth. Long time Hotham skiers remembered my father as well as Mick Norton. I felt a connection and the energy and embrace of my fellow Hotham locals.

I have had the good fortune to train with the NAC, MHRS and even a little with the Australian Paralympic Squad over the last three years. This has seen me progress to be currently the highest ranked Aussie seated male in G.S. And second highest ranked seated Aussie male in all other disciplines on the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) rankings list.

Unfortunately for this skiing journey my life savings are close to exhausted. And apparently I do not qualify for support from our National Governing body. So I am asking for your support. For the price of a coffee, you could help me to race in NZ next month. Which is my next step toward my ultimate goal of the Paralympics. Thanks. Jason Sauer.
