The Healing Journey of Bill Rogers

Bill Rogers….this usually healthy fifty-nine-year-old man, beloved husband of Ethel, incredible father of six sons, and grandfather of a host of grandchildren, is entering a season of life that requires the tenacity, determination, and faith of a warrior. Bill has always been one who sees the needs of others and sets out to help. Now Bill and Ethel find themselves in need of the generosity and love of others.

Bill has been a self-employed contractor all his life and his income is dependent on his ability to work. Before the Christmas of 2022, Bill began to have difficulty swallowing and lost weight unexpectedly. A colonoscopy and an endoscopy revealed stage three esophageal cancer. He will begin a regimen of radiation for several weeks, followed by chemotherapy, then radical surgery.

In the meantime, the income for this couple had disappeared. The bills are mounting, and suddenly Bill and Ethel are faced with a growing list of unexpected expenses. We are asking you to generously help this couple with your financial gifts and prayers so that they can focus on what is important – fighting the battle with cancer.
