Operation International

Hi there, I am reaching out because I have been presented with a fantastic opportunity. As you know, I work as a surgical technologist at Rush University Medical Center. I work with excellent OR teams of different specialties.

In the last three years, I have been working with Dr. Chan, who specializes in Liver transplants and other services. I am always amazed by the work she does. At RUMC, I have had the honor of being part of her liver transplant team.

Dr. Chan is a part of a team called Operation International. This organization has been around for over 25 years. Dr. Chan has

been going on trips with them as a general surgeon, and in the past, she has been leading her team for the organization.

As of April 2023, Dr. Chan plans to return to Ghana, Africa, where she and her team have worked and performed many surgeries to help the locals in town.

Dr. Chan recently asked me to join her team and work with this fantastic charitable organization. I am beyond grateful for this opportunity. Getting the chance to volunteer my time and skills to help others is amazing.

I come to you and ask you to help my team, and Dr. Chan will make this trip a reality. As always, Dr. Chan provides what she can to build our operating rooms and have the necessary supplies. But anything to donate to this trip will help Operation International and Dr. Chan’s team get the many other supplies we need.
